Work Across Cultures, With Confidence.

CROSS-CULTURAL ONBOARDING
Bridging Two Working Cultures
Working across Thai and Western business cultures means navigating real differences, in communication style, hierarchy, and decision-making. It means understanding how each side tends to communicate, decide, and build trust, and recognizing when a habit that works in one culture reads differently in the other.
As a familiar example, imagine a new manager asks the team whether a deadline is realistic. No one objects, so the manager takes the silence as agreement, then two weeks later the deadline slips. In many Thai workplaces, silence in front of a senior colleague signals politeness more often than consent. The reverse happens too, when a Thai manager's carefully indirect concern can go unnoticed by a Western colleague who expects problems to be stated more plainly.

Why This Matters
This training is delivered by someone with a doctorate in Southeast Asian Studies and over twenty years of living and working in Thailand.
The training aims for cultural literacy, defined as the ability to read a working culture accurately and navigate it with confidence.
