What Is LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®?
LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® (LSP) is a methodology for facilitating workshops using LEGO® bricks as thinking tools.
Participants build small models in response to a question, then explain what their models mean, turning abstract ideas like strategy, trust, or identity into something concrete enough to discuss. LSP is not a toy exercise or icebreaker. It's a structured methodology for working through problems that are complex or unsettled, where the group doesn't already agree on the answer. It's not the right tool for a question with one correct answer, or a decision that only needs to be made and announced.
Why It Works
Building models can surface what conversation alone often misses.
Putting a thought into a physical form often draws out ideas that stay unspoken in a normal meeting, and gives the group something concrete to discuss.
